WHAT FUELS ME

Seeing a strong, grounded you shine as you chase and reach your goals. Doing the same in my life. The power of sport to uplift, teach, connect and inspire. Creating environments where people feel seen and can connect deeply with themselves, others, and the bigger picture. Sharing lessons I’ve learned along the journey of human-ing and athlete-ing. Moving in nature, often with friends and doggos, sometimes solo. Quality conversation. Exploring. Also, great coffee and sometimes cheekily dropping guys on a bike ride ;)

MY WHY

Sport has given me some of my greatest relationships, experiences, and memories. It shows me what’s possible, helps me heal, and keeps me dreaming. But it’s also brought me face to face with intense (often self-directed) pressure, perfectionism, loss of perspective, overreaching, and disordered eating. Navigating back toward the simple joy, zest, and fun I started out with has been a journey. I’m grateful for the people and practices that helped me shine again. My why? It’s you. Because you shining, feeling fulfilled in your sport and your life, matters and lights the way for others. What’s your why?

MY APPROACH

You are already whole, inherently worthy, and full of unique potential. It’s not about you doing more or trying harder. It’s about filling your backpack with supportive skills and practices, getting to the heart of who you are as a human, and taking simple powerful steps forward.

My job is to help you find your path and navigate it, celebrating with you as you reach goals and handle speed bumps. I will meet you with curiosity, encouragement, empathy, and an unwavering belief in what’s possible for you.

My goal is for you to feel strong and grounded, connected to what matters to you, so you can shine. Together, we’ll create a plan to move you forward equipped with the skills and resources you need to succeed. You’ll take consistent action, building confidence and trust with each step.

WHAT WE DO TOGETHER

We get clear on your sporting and life-ing goal(s) so we know where to direct our focus. We identify what’s working and what isn’t. We honour you as a whole person; press into areas of strength; uncover areas of growth; and get curious about blind spots, fears, and patterns that are keeping you from the real success, balance and fulfilment you’re seeking.

You receive practices, tools and a plan relevant to you. You’re unique, and I honour that in our coaching relationship. Our work together is informed by: me asking great questions that invite you to reflect and get to the heart of things (a solution-focused coaching approach), positive psychology, growth-oriented mindset strategies, mindfulness practices, and principles of purposeful, wholehearted living.

Our work together is complimentary to a physical training program and allows you to build the inner resources you need to truly express your full and unique potential. Think mindset, resilience, confidence, worthiness. All of the key tools you need in your backpack to shine in your sport and life.

MY STORY

I spent decades of my life pursuing academic and sporting excellence, external success, and the approval of others. That worked well for many years. I realized my childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian and found success as a cyclist and triathlete along the way. But then in my early thirties, the wheels fell off and my flame began to burn out, fast.

While I appeared to be successful on the outside, inside I felt anything but. Instead of fulfilled, I felt empty. Exhausted. Pressured to perform and do all of the things, all of the time. Tormented by negative self-talk telling me “you’re not good enough.” Numb to the things I cared about most deeply (my family and the simple joy of moving my body in nature). Something had to change.

And so it did. First, I left my sport. I’d completely lost the joy and fun it once brought me, all of that replaced by the pressure to podium. Then, I left my career. The one I’d planned for, worked for, since I was 4 years old. I thought the burnout and stress I felt was purely due to my job.

BUT

What I quickly discovered was the extent to which my thoughts, beliefs and behaviour patterns contributed to how I felt. Leaving my career was only a band-aid solution, and ripping it off finally exposed the inner work I needed to do.

I’m grateful for the souls who helped me learn to love myself regardless of my results. Change my mindset and thoughts (if I can do it, anyone can). Feel my emotions, even the hard ones. Break the patterns of perfectionism and people-pleasing that were wearing me down. And find solace in a God who simply loves me for me.

This is why I coach. This is why I’m rooting for YOU. I want you to find the grounding, inner resources, and path forward you need so you can shine as both a human and athlete.
